Predatory, unpredictable, rare, infuriating, and almost mythological - the maddening muskellunge. They have more roads, bars, and peninsulas named after them than most presidents. They induce nightmares that can be heard at boat launches and watering holes throughout the land. They are often named and anthropomorphized into some all powerful and never hungry beast.
There is no greater challenge in freshwater fishing, and yet, to this day there is very little that we actually understand about them. So to The Maddening Muskellunge, you have taught us that there is no limit to the depths of our frustration and the peaks of our joy. You drive us downright mad.
For all you crazy fools out there, we give you “The Maddening Muskellunge Hat”. Despite our best logic, we will continue casting until our arms give out.
