The Umpqua Olsen's Blow Torch is a dynamic nymph pattern that excels in attracting trout with its bright and attention-grabbing colors. Designed by renowned fly tier Charlie Olsen, this fly features a hotspot of vibrant color combined with a tungsten bead head, ensuring it sinks quickly to reach feeding fish. The Blow Torch’s unique design and flashy appearance make it especially effective in faster currents and deeper waters, where visibility is key. Ideal for nymphing techniques, this fly is a must-have for anglers looking to provoke aggressive strikes from trout in both rivers and lakes.
