Tied and designed by Musky Fool’s Tim O’Connor, the Mega Rizzler is a weighted, articulated bulkhead fly. The Mega Rizzler kicks, glides and jigs! The Rizzler is designed to get down deeper than your traditional Buford or bulkhead fly, while maintaining the action we like in these unweighted patterns.
Often, a river pig is used for deeper presentations, but a river pig falls head first. The Rizzler falls more level and kicks side-to-side on the strip, offering more versatility in weighted fly presentations. The Mega Rizzler glides on some strips due to the long front shank, which is one of our favorite actions for muskies on the fly. This is also a great fly to get down deeper without having to switch to a faster sinking line, saving time between presentation changes.
Tied on custom-bent Musky Fool wire shanks, with a 60mm Monster Shank in the rear.
