The Classic X builds on the timeless design and proven performance of our original Classic fly reel, adding enhanced line recovery for anglers who want greater control in demanding situations.

The 2.5:1 multiplier retrieve recovers more than twice the line of a traditional single-action reel with every turn of the handle - helping you stay connected to fast-moving, powerful fish - while our renowned Power Matrix drag system delivers smooth, consistent braking power when it matters most.

Lightweight, waterproof and corrosion-resistant, the Classic X is built to perform in the harshest environments. You can choose between the reassuring clicking sound of a traditional reel or silent operation with a simple turn of the audio control knob.

An ergonomic handle, stylish plate and hand polished finish complete a reel designed with equal attention to performance and detail.

The 7-9 is the true workhorse of the Classic range. Balances extra capacity with Power Matrix control and stopping power for salmon, steelhead, and migratory trout.
