Hello to all the Musky Fools!

Well, that should about do it...summer is over ya’ll and I can’t say we're too bummed. The best three months in the northern musky range are here and we are just a littttttle excited. 

This fall musky season we are also excited to announce that we are launching the first musky only fly shop, Musky Fool Fly Fishing Co. Apparently a global pandemic was just the thing we were waiting for to get started...so here we are!

My wife and I have both been foolish enough to be chasing musky on the fly for almost a decade. We have always wished there was a fly shop dedicated solely to musky. On one 94 degree day this summer in the middle of a musky river while getting dive-bombed by deer flies, we were contemplating life and why the hell we love fishing for these toothy critters. We decided right then that instead of waiting any longer for that fly shop, we would build it ourselves! 

Today, September 8th 2020, we officially launch our fly shop. We will be starting online only first. We will have a wide selection of the best and most essential tools for musky on the fly. We will carry Musky Fool original flies in 6 signature patterns with a variety of sizes and colors. We will carry Musky Fool original hand-tied leaders built for the specific needs of musky on the fly. And of course we will have some of the best rods, reels, fly line and accessories from G.Loomis, Scientific Anglers, Temple Fork Outfitters, and Stowmaster. We are also very excited to launch our custom built musky fly rod, the Muskysaber, built in collaboration with one of the finest rod builders around, Chippewa River Custom Rods. We are very grateful for these companies joining us on the journey to make the Musky Fool dream a reality. As we grow, we look forward to continuing to expand our assortment for our customers.
