Welcome to the Fly Roast! The Fly Roast is a new one-of-a-kind segment featured on the Spot Burn Podcast, brought to you by Musky Fool. As the name suggests, The Fly Roast is where we will roast YOUR flies live on each episode of the podcast. This is a chance for your flies to be featured, and most importantly, for us to celebrate the creativity that is fly tying! This is meant to be a light-hearted and fun segment. At the end of the day, Dan and Josh are both true Midwesterners. Some flies might get roasted and some might make it through the gauntlet and become a new featured pattern at Musky Fool. Are you up for the challenge?

Read below to learn how to get your fly featured on the next Fly Roast!

here's
How it works

If you're interested in participating in the Fly Roast you'll first need to either tie a fly or grab an existing one, then download the submission form below and follow the instructions.

Send this form, along with your fly, to Musky Fool. Dan and Josh will open some flies blindly on each episode. Will your fly end up on the wall of shame or the wall of fame? That is up to you!

In all seriousness though, we recognize that this is all based on first impressions and we will not have had a chance to fish or swim these flies, which is the true test. Over time, as the wall of fame or shame grows, we hope to fish the flies you have graciously sent in and report back!
